TRELAWNY, Jamaica — The Trelawny police are probing the circumstances which led to the death of a man who was mowed down by a motorcycle in  Wakefield, Trelawny on Saturday afternoon.

The driver of the motorcycle is said to have received critical injuries and has since been admitted to hospital.

The deceased has been identified as 70-year-old Oscar Russell of Montego Bay, St James.

Preliminary reports are that the crash occurred about 5:00 pm when Russell was struck by the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he later died.
