About Us

TELLING OUR STORIES CELEBRATING OUR PEOPLE

Loud Africa magazine is UK’s newest and most authentic Afro-Caribbean magazine. Published periodically, the full-coloured magazine trails events such as festivals, carnivals, indoor shows, beauty pageants, awards, cultural and contemporary celebrations and product launchings, and a lot more. Loud Africa magazine takes pride in the achievements of people of Afro-Caribbean descent as well as others with black interest. We interview, publish their journey and achievements in bright colours. Loud Africa points to interesting tourism destinations by profiling various tourism spots in Africa and the Caribbean.

The columns in the magazine range from one spot of celebration to another point of achievement. From entertainment to education, sports to profiling exclusive achievers and then to health, history, migration and tourism.

WHAT

DRIVES US

01

Vision

To be the leading Afro-Caribbean lifestyle and culture magazine in the UK.

02

Mission

To Celebrate African and Caribbean heritage, spotlight creatives, and connect diaspora communities through storytelling.

03

Commitment

Every page of Loud Africa is a commitment to authentic representation. We don’t follow trends — we celebrate truth. We don’t just feature Black excellence — we document it for history.

WHY LOUD AFRICA?

Because Our Stories Deserve to Be Loud

For too long, mainstream UK media has underrepresented — or outright misrepresented — African and Caribbean communities. Loud Africa changes that. One vibrant, full-colour, unapologetic page at a time.

We are proudly Black. Proudly British. Proudly global.

Whether you are part of the Afro-Caribbean diaspora, a business wanting to reach this powerful and passionate community, or simply someone who loves culture, travel, and authentic storytelling — Loud Africa is for you.

OUR FOUNDER

Eric Orji

Founder

Loud Africa is the vision of Eric Orji — one of the most experienced, respected, and passionate Afro-Caribbean journalists in the United Kingdom.

Originally from Africa and proudly based in the UK for nearly two decades, Eric has dedicated his career to elevating Black voices in British media. With over 25 years of journalism experience, he has worked as a reporter, sub-editor, and editor at major newspapers and magazines across West Africa — including Nigeria and The Gambia.

In the UK, Eric served as Editor of the African Echo — the leading African free newspaper in the United Kingdom. That groundbreaking publication represented the entire Afro-Caribbean ethnic community across Britain until it ceased publication in 2009.

Since then, Eric has shaped Black British media as a freelance editor for publications including:

  • Society Celebration
  • Nice Mag
  • OH YES Magazine
  • Charity Watch International
  • Western Africa Magazine
  • Elegance Magazine (African Edition)

Loud Africa is his most ambitious, most personal, and most powerful project yet. A love letter to a community that deserves nothing less than extraordinary.
