Groundsman charged with smuggling contraband into Annatto Bay lock-up

ST MARY, Jamaica —  A 35 year-old groundsman was granted bail in the sum of $650,000 when he appeared in the St Mary parish court on April 7 after he was charged with attempting to smuggle contraband into the Annatto Bay lock-up.

Wesley Webber of Dover St Mary, was arrested on March 30 around 1:00pm when the Annotto Bay lock up was opened for the removal of garbage. He was subjected to a search and a quantity of items found on him.

The items seized were cigarettes, lighters, rolling paper and a quantity of ganja.

Webber was arrested and charged for the offences. His next appearance is April 21.
