KINGSTON, Jamaica — Two-time Olympic double sprint champion Elaine Thompson-Herah ran a season’s best 10.92 seconds (0.8m/s) in the semifinals of the women’s 100m at the Velocity Fest 19 at the National Stadium.

Her time is the third fastest of the year, only behind Adaejah Hodges’ 10.77 seconds and Shenese Walker’s 10.80 seconds set a day earlier at a meet in Florida.

This was her fastest since 2003 and led Jonielle Smith who clocked a personal best 10.99 seconds and Jodean Williams- 11.02 seconds into the final set for later in the day.
