Cardi B reacts after haircare brand sells out in under an hour after launch, ‘Makes it all worth it’
Grow-Good Beauty, Cardi B’s new haircare brand, launched on April 15 and, according to a repost by the artist on X, sold out in less than 35 minutes.
“The way ya showed up for today’s Grow Good launch has me in real life tears. It’s gone so fast that I don’t even have any to give my mom … can you believe that,” she expressed on Instagram.
“I’ve been taking care of my natural hair for a long time now, but I wanted to take things to another level 3 years ago when I decided I wanted more for myself and my legacy. To do that I needed something I could call my own. Building this brand and this business has been one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done, but watching you all love on something that I put my whole heart into makes it all worth it,” the 33-year-old artist continued.
The “Am I the Drama?” artist has been vocal about her past inconsistent approach to hair health, despite learning to make her own hair masks and oils as a teenager, as she shared with Elle. She confessed to years of perming, bleaching, and dyeing, even admitting to gluing extensions directly to her hair when she was 17.

“You know what’s so crazy that I think about, why the hell would I do that? What the hell was going on? Why were we doing that? That’s how much I was mistreating my hair. I kept flat-ironing my hair every day,” she said, according to the outlet.
Her personal journey of adopting and sharing a healthy hair routine on social media resonated with her audience. For example, in a 2020 Instagram post, she shared the ingredients of her homemade hair mask: avocado, two eggs, mayonnaise, and black castor oil. The positive response from her fans eventually inspired her to turn her personal routine into a business.
“For a long time, my fans were asking me to put out a hair product. I remember waking up one day and thinking, ‘I have to do this hair product line, but I don’t know how to launch a business.’ I told my team that we need to find partners who are going to take this sh-t seriously, where we’re both going to listen to each other,” Cardi B told Elle.
Cardi B spent three years rigorously vetting labs and testing products to develop her science-backed haircare brand, Grow-Good Beauty, according to Elle. The brand’s initial lineup, available on its website, includes a repair shampoo, repair conditioner, multi-function serum, and hydrating hair mask. Key ingredients in the formulations are green banana, moringa seed, castor seed, aloe vera, and avocado.

Meanwhile, on the final night of her Little Miss Drama Tour on April 18 in Atlanta, Georgia, Amy Carter, the daughter of the late former President Jimmy Carter, gave her a surprise visit, The Mirror reported.
The 58-year-old, who is the youngest child of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, was captured in an online video enjoying the 33-year-old rapper’s performance, specifically seen grooving to “Bartier Cardi.”
During Cardi B’s meet and greet in Atlanta, Amy gave her a signed copy of President Carter’s White House Diary, which features an annotated and curated collection of his diary entries from his 1977-1981 term. The artist seemed to enjoy the meeting, especially since she had earlier accused the State Farm Arena staff of “being rude” before her concert.
