Saturday (June 20) Highlights

Saturday opens with the thunderous energy of Batala, setting the tone for a day of rhythm, movement, and cultural unity. The Liverpool Hip Hop Festival Cypher brings local talent to the main stage, blending Scouse creativity with global Black influences.

Audiences can look forward to the soulful vocals of Oumy, the legendary Mozambican group Ghorwane, and the unmistakable kologo mastery of King Ayisoba. Congo‑Canadian Afro‑electro artist Kizaba adds a futuristic edge to the day, before global superstar Patoranking closes the night with a high‑energy fusion of dancehall, reggae, and Afrobeats.

Sunday (June 21) Highlights

Sunday continues the celebration with community collective Positive Impact and the genre‑blending artistry of KOJ Tribe (Rai Koli & Jae Prado). The festival’s global reach shines through with the Afro‑Latin rhythms of Awale Jant Band, the Caribbean storytelling of Kobo Town, and the Congolese vibrance of Fullu Miziki.

UK Lovers Rock royalty Janet Kay brings timeless elegance to the stage, followed by the electrifying Togolese innovators Nana Benz du Togo. The weekend culminates with a headline performance from Fatoumata Diawara, one of Africa’s most celebrated contemporary voices, a fitting finale for a festival rooted in heritage, innovation, and unity.
