Jamaica breaks national record to get silver in Mixed 4x400m relay

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Mixed 4x400m relay team broke their national record after they ran 3:08.24 seconds to take the silver medal on Sunday’s second day of the Debswana World Athletics Relays in Gaborone, Botswana.
The team of Deandre Watkin, Shana Kay Anderson, Antonio Watson and Rushell Clayton, unchanged from Saturday’s first qualifying round, broke the two-year-old record of 3:11.06 seconds set at 2024 Olympic Games.
The USA set a Championship record of 3:07.47 seconds, while Great Britain was third in 3:09.84 seconds.
