Jamaica booked their place in the final of the mixed 4x400m relays at the Debswana World Athletics Relays in Gaborone, Botswana on Saturday, winning their semi-final heat in 3:11.68.

The team of Deandre Watkin, Shana Kaye Anderson, Antonio Watson and Rushell Clayton finished ahead of Poland (3:13.00) and Nigeria (3:13.12) in the second heat.

It means Jamaica also qualify for the event at the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship to be held in Budapest, Hungary in September and the World Athletics Championships Beijing 2027.

Jamaica had the ninth fastest time but, with the first two teams in each of the three heats earning automatic qualification, they advanced easily.
