The New West Indian Guide / Nieuwe West-Indische Gids has published the first issue of its 100th volume! It includes 2 articles and a research note: “From Source to Sea: Reading Omeros (1990) and Ione (1957) through Caribbean Tidalectics” by Gavin Herbertson;  “Hyperreal Paradise Lost and Rebuilt: Hurricane Destruction, Speculative Luxury, and Real Estate Development in Sint Maarten” by Thor Björnsson, James Gordon Rice & Már Wolfgang Mixa; and  “A Short History of Suriname 1646–1662/3”  by Martijn M. van den Bel, Gérard Collomb & Lodewijk Wagenaar.

Furthermore, this issue includes a review article on Derek Walcott, the annual Bookshelf, and 50 book reviews.
