‘This woman has always been magic’ – A$AP Rocky reveals how Rihanna has changed

A$AP Rocky never stops short of showering praises on his lover Rihanna, and he recently did that in her new W Magazine cover story.

The Praise the Lord rapper had good things to say about the billionaire singer and businesswoman when he was asked how she has changed over time.

“She has changed a lot because she became a mother in that time span, and that certainly changes you,” Rocky, 37, explained. “But this woman has always been magic. Philosophically, the way she operates is on another level. She is the most charming and genuine person on Earth. Her energy is unmatched—one of a kind. I just adore her.”

Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Athelston Mayers, and Rihanna were longtime friends before they became romantically involved. The couple shares two sons and a daughter.

When he was asked about something that he and Rihanna enjoy doing together, Rocky said, “We have so many of the same interests. We were addicted to watching documentaries, like the Bob Marley one. Watching films together is so fun. We must’ve watched El Cantante 15 times.”

In a previous interview with The New York Times’ “Popcast,” Rocky revealed that his mother actually convinced him to date Rihanna, Page Six reported.

“My mother used to say sh*t like, ‘I know you like this girl that you [are] with right now’ — I ain’t gon’ say no names — ‘but I want you with RiRi,’” Rocky said.

“It’s like, ‘Ma, why you keep saying that? That girl don’t even want me like that,’” the Don’t Be Dumb rapper added. “Mothers know best,” he continued.

“I’m thankful that [Rihanna] was put in my life at that time because any time prior to that I don’t think I was ready for something like that. I don’t think she was either.”

Rocky also said in the interview that Rihanna “was always my boo,” and he “always f—ed with her.”

“We were on the same page. Born the same year. My dad is from her country … When I go back, I get to see both sides of my family. It’s so many similarities, it’s just funny. We laugh about it a lot,” Rocky said about the things they share in common.
