These Are the Winners of the E-Finity Green Caribbean Awards 2026
The Caribbean’s push toward sustainable travel now has a new set of standouts.
After a regionwide voting campaign that drew thousands of votes, the 2026 E-Finity Caribbean Green Awards has revealed its winners, honoring the destinations, hotels, developers and leaders driving environmental innovation across the Caribbean.
The awards, presented by E-Finity Distributed Generation in partnership with Caribbean Journal, spotlight the projects and people putting sustainability into practice across tourism, conservation and development.
In time for Earth Day, this year’s winners span from St Kitts to Turks and Caicos to Jamaica, reflecting a broader regional focus on clean energy, conservation and responsible tourism growth.
“The Caribbean has become one of the most important frontiers for sustainable travel in the world,” said Alexander Britell, editor and publisher of Caribbean Journal. “Across the region, you’re seeing real progress in how destinations are developing, how hotels are operating and how communities are protecting their natural assets. These awards recognize the leaders driving that work.”


Green Destination Of The Year
St Kitts has been named Green Destination of the Year, reflecting the island’s growing emphasis on sustainability across tourism and development. The destination has continued to expand its focus on conservation, renewable energy and environmentally conscious planning, alongside its well-established network of protected natural areas.


Sustainable Hotel Of The Year
Kokomo Botanical Resort in Turks and Caicos has been named Sustainable Hotel of the Year. The boutique property in Providenciales centers on villa-style accommodations surrounded by tropical gardens, with a strong emphasis on holistic hospitality across the property.


Green All-Inclusive Resort Of The Year
Couples Tower Isle, Jamaica has taken the title of Green All-Inclusive Resort of the Year. The longtime Ocho Rios property has implemented a range of sustainability initiatives, from energy efficiency and water conservation to locally sourced food programs, all while maintaining a classic all-inclusive experience along Jamaica’s north coast.


Green Hotelier Of The Year
Jeff Birch of Small Hope Bay Lodge in Andros, The Bahamas has been named Green Hotelier of the Year, recognized for his leadership at one of the Caribbean’s longest-running eco-focused resorts.
Small Hope Bay Lodge has been operating since 1960 and remains one of the region’s original sustainability-driven hotels. The family-run property features wood cottages along the beach, with a dive-centered program and a long-standing focus on low-impact operations.
The lodge’s experience is tied directly to the surrounding reef system, blue holes and flats fishing grounds, with an approach that prioritizes conservation, simple design and strong connections to the local community.


Green Development Of The Year
South Bank in Turks and Caicos has been named Green Development of the Year. The project has drawn attention for its modern residential and resort design, with a focus on environmental considerations from planning through construction, including energy efficiency and site-sensitive development.


Marine Conservation Award
The Atlantis Blue Project Foundation has received the Marine Conservation Award for its work in ocean preservation, marine habitat protection and education initiatives throughout The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.


Green Leadership Award
David Godfrey, Executive Director of the Sea Turtle Conservancy, has been named the recipient of the Green Leadership Award, recognizing decades of work protecting sea turtle populations and advancing conservation efforts across the region.


Green Agriculture Award
Fari Organic Farm in St Kitts has been awarded Green Agriculture Award, highlighting its role in sustainable farming practices and its contribution to local food production through environmentally responsible agriculture.


Green Design Firm Of The Year
OBMI has been named Green Design Firm of the Year, reflecting its work across the Caribbean designing projects that incorporate environmental sensitivity, energy efficiency and long-term sustainability.
