Virginia man accused of breaking into several homes while fully naked

Authorities in Virginia have brought a slew of charges against a man who allegedly broke into several homes while fully naked.

In a statement, the Fairfax County Police Department said that the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Sederick Walker, was arrested in the early hours of April 13 when detectives were “conducting a stakeout” in the 14000 block of Gatwick Square in Centreville.

Authorities said that a detective who was monitoring surveillance cameras at the time saw Walker naked and walking nearby.

“Officers with our Drone Unit, prepositioned to assist detectives on the operation, immediately responded within 30 seconds. Detectives attempted to stop the naked man, but he fled on foot with a detective chasing him,” the statement said.

“Detectives from the Real Time Crime Center launched an additional drone to assist in tracking the man. The naked suspect was seen jumping a fence into the backyard of a home on Gatwick Square. Detectives prepared a search warrant for the residence and were eventually able to take Sederick Walker, 21, of Centreville into custody.”

Authorities said that their investigations ultimately linked Walker to “the recent string of burglaries where he entered or attempted to enter homes while fully nude.”

In one of the cases, authorities said that officers arrived at the 14800 block of Palmerston Square in Centreville after they received a report of a suspicious person. The resident got in touch with police after “receiving an alert from the home’s surveillance system.”

“Just after 5:00 a.m., video captured a fully nude male with a head cover approaching the rear sliding glass door of the residence,” the statement added. “The suspect looked inside the home and attempted to open the door. When the door did not open, he fled toward a nearby wooded area.”

Walker faces a slew of charges including burglary, two counts of breaking and entering to commit a misdemeanor, four counts of indecent exposure, two counts of trespassing, wearing a mask in public, and obstruction of justice.

The 21-year-old suspect is being held without bond.
